Louise Mengelkoch is a retired professor of journalism at Bemidji State University in northern Minnesota, the mother of four wonderful children and grandmother of two. She also is an author representative and a free-lance writer. She has written numerous articles about environmental, social and public policy issues for a variety of publications. She is married to author Kent Nerburn.
